Vision Charity

About Us

Vision Charity was created in 1975 and now celebrates nearly 40 years of fundraising for the benefit of blind and partially sighted children. Its core foundation was the professional and corporate radio and television industries but since formation it has broadened its reach to the wider Visual Communications Industries and beyond.

How we support others

Monies raised are used to purchase equipment, goods or specialist services for schools, groups or organisations providing specialist care for the blind community. Vision Charity will make some cash donations only in very exceptional circumstances, as approved by its Board of Trustees. Vision is also keen to emphasize its increasing international focus, both it terms of its fundraising activities and in directing its donations.

How we raise money

Vision Charity host a series of events, including a Golf day, Fun Run in Soho, 5 A-Side Football tournaments, Cycling and Marathon competitions, including the London Marathon and the annual Vision Charity Ball held at the end of each year. The Vision Ball is a major social event focussing primarily on the television and radio broadcast industry. It is a great event to encourage industry networking for the upcoming year.

All the proceeds from all of these events allow us to help visually impaired children across the UK.
