Katie's playground
When we went to Dorton House to hand over some computer equipment Peter noticed that the playground was out of action. We were told that the school was trying to raise money to replace it. At the Ball Peter instigated his Presidents challenge and we raised £26000 on the night to pay for the rebuild and equipment. We named it Katies playground as that was the year she agreed to be our patron along with her association with the school.
My Story
Ryan Jones - a vision for the future
Ryan is an eleven year old with a lot of ambition. He had also been dealt a very 'poor hand' when he was born. His mother was a heroin addict and Ryan was born addicted! So the first task for the hospital was to detox him soon after birth. Unfortunately this left him with serious other difficulties apart from blindness.
