18inone Golf Challenge
20th June 2012

18 in one golf challenge June 20th 2012
This year Vision is the chosen charity for the Aircraft Golfing Society, founded in 1944 and who raise thousands of pounds for charity every year.
As part of their fundraising for Vision, 4 golfers will attempt to play 18 holes on 18 different courses in one day. The challenge has been dreamt up by Mike Purnell, captain of the AGS and a great supporter of Vision over many years along with his company Argosy. He will be joined by Larry Davis, former Executive Director of Vision, TV news presenter Gavin Grey, and comedian Ian Irving past captain of the Variety Club. The attempt will be made in East Lothian Scotland, where there is an abundance of great courses in close proximity. All the clubs involved have given courtesy of the course to the group who are hoping to raise £10,000 for the Vision Charity Sports Legacy Fund.
President of the Aircraft Golfing Society and maestro of golfing commentary, Mr Peter Alliss said “This is a great golfing challenge playing 18 holes on 18 different courses in a day. No doubt as they are representing the Aircraft Golfing Society they will fly round! We all know how important sport is to young people so please dig deep and support a wonderful cause”
