Read on to find out how Team Vision got on in the 2009 Adidas 5K.
The 2009 Adidas Women’s 5K challenge, a fun run for women of all ages taking place in Hyde Park, proved a huge success for runners and supporters alike - see www.womenschallenge.co.uk
The team all gathered at the Vision meeting point and were given drinks and snacks. The supporters went off to set up 'camp' whilst the runners went off to warm up.

It was a lovely day and very well organised. The runners and walkers, all in party mood, were very much encouraged by Jonathan Cooper, the Vision organiser, who climbed a lamp post to ensure we had a good send off.

Jonathan (seen above) was there to see us off and was there with a wonderful glass of wine on our return

The atmosphere was amazing with over 17,000 runners (and walkers) from world champions to babies in push chairs taking part.

We were met by our supporters and enjoyed a lovely picnic - although there was one tense moment when we realised we had forgotten the cork screw. However, problem soon solved by borrowing one from total strangers - phew!
We will definitely be taking part next year and hope that all the ladies who read this will feel inspired to join us.
Many thanks to Jonathan, all the organisers, runners, supporters and sponsors who together ensured that we will be able to help even more children this year.
