David Ginola joined other VIPs to marvel at the work of an international celebrity designer Javier Murillo, who flew in to provide the theatrical finale for a unique fashion event.

The Vision Fantasy Fashion Show and Gala Dinner at Flutes in North London was in aid of Vision and was a feast to the senses.

.

The theme of the first set, VISITATION, was in silver, white and greys to highlight that many visually impaired children only see in shades of grey.  It opened with dancers wearing ethereal costumes offering soft and floating choreography with atmospheric sound effects.

The second set AWAKENING, in contrast, offered strong colours and designs, .

The final set was the Javier Murillo ‘CATWALK’ which featured very strong visual images with an emphasis on colour. This set was designed to featured textures which the blind and visually impaired children that Vision seek to help can enjoy. The models were most striking and their hairstyles, fashioned by Javier himself, were as intriguing and wonderful as his clothes designs. One of his creations had been specially fashioned to include the colours of Vision’s logo.

Fashionista Nidya Kyriacou says “We work hard to offer an unparalleled evening which ensures that every moment is very special. We are honoured that Javier agreed to bring his unique fashions and his outstanding team to the UK to support this highly individual event and worthwhile Charity. We aim to make our functions very, very different. Simply put, we aim to excel so that we can help more blind, visually impaired and dyslexic children whilst offering an evening that those hosting tables and our sponsors can be proud of”

Vision Charity Chief Executive Larry Davis says “Vision Charity raises money by hosting prestigious events and the Vision Fashion Show along with the Annual Vision Ball at the Grosvenor House in December are two very special occasions. We have very ambitious aims for 2009/10 and with the very special help of those involved in laying on these unique Vision events we are well on the way to achieving them.”
