Birmingham Students Meet Students They Raised Funds For

Birmingham University Events Students raised funds for Vision through a wonderful Fashion Show, Today they met the pupils of Queen Alexandra College in Harborne Birmingham, who would be the beneficiaries of the monies they raised.

Queen Alexandra College aims to maximise the potential and it is wonderful that whilst the University studients are seeking to maximise their own potential they are helping others to achieve theres.
As part of the 'Live Events' module, six UCB second year BA Events Management students organised a charity fashion show 'A Vision to Remember' to showcase the talent of fashion students in the Birmingham area. 'A Vision to Remember' was held on Monday 17th May 2010 at Bar Risa, Birmingham and featured collections from local designers, a performance from Eilidh Forster and an envelope raffle. The group also promoted the event in UCB's café and ran a street collection in Birmingham on 6th May. Through their fundraising efforts, the group managed to raise an impressive £865.65. This money will go towards providing new equipment for one of the Vision Charity's beneficiaries, the Queen Alexandra College, Birmingham.
